I am looking for some free surveys i can take to earn a little extra cash. I dont want any scams just some good legit surveys that will pay me to complete them.
The absolute best survey site i found has a very fast and free sign up that works with paypal. When i joined, within 15 minutes i had already accumulated $30. This is the exact question I wanted the answer to a few years ago. I didn't have sense enough to come here and ask the question like you did, so kudos to you for doing so...I had to find out the hard way :)
After searching and trying survey site after survey site for over 10 months I have found that the best surveys are the sites with a proven track record for paying that have been online for a while.
Even though there are free survey sites online a lot of them just don't pay and so the question of legitimacy comes into play often.
How I ended up finding the best free surveys for making money was by chance, so to speak, but I have been grateful since finding them and use them whenever I want to make a few extra bucks or just have some spare time to do a few.
You can check out some of the sites the others here have suggested they could be some good, I have not used them myself so I personally do not know, and like I said, some just don't pay.

I would say survey savvy. I have made the most through this one. you get cash. no points or rewards. The check is usually here faster then they say it will arrive.
