listen to musicWhy does music sound faster when you listen to it at night?

Sometimes (like right now) I lay in bed and listen to music before going to sleep. Sometimes (like right now) it is perceived by myself to be faster than it normally is. Are there reasons for this?
I think its your tired brain doing that so its sounds like its faster
When you sleep, your brain may relax making it seem like songs you listen to alisten to musicre faster
I ALWAYS wonder this! I thought it was just me!
It happens on planes too, or it will seem like it's in a different key.

I always thought it was just your tired mind processing it differently, that sorta thing.
Yes, the answer is you are playing back in your head too fast. If you slowed it down it would sound normal. You can alsolisten to music listen to it fast if you want.

Try adding dance or play instruments and you can tie many brain regions together. Neurons that fire together, wire together.
THis has never happened to me but i have noticed music sounds really strange sometimes if im falling asleep. I wouldn't say it sounds faster, it just seems different.
