What is the best free defrag software for Windows Vista?
Best 'free' defrag software for Vista is the one that is built-in. Well, actually it's pretty lousy, but it's still better than the so called 'free' third party utilities, since it's atleast tested and certified to be safe by Microsoft. None of the 'freeware' defraggers have any benefit over the Vista defragger, and infact, most have several disadvantages.
If you want the best (commercial) defragger for Vista/7/XP then look no further than Diskeeper 2010. It's fully automatic, and runs in the background using only idle system resources. It's the only defragger in the world that *prevents* fragmentation from occuring in the first place.
