if you download the newest java update, can you delete the older one? i've noticed they are big in size?
If you have older versions of Java listed in your Add / Remove programs, it is best to delete any ofjava update the older versions. Not only will you gain hard drive space, it is far better security wise to not have old Java installed. Some of the older versions have serious security holes that can be exploited.
Unjava update-install YES, Delete NO
Easiest way to update Java, is to go to the Java Icon in your control panel, and press the update button from inside the Java consule. Java will update over the old version.
